Malinko – Changing the Paradigm

NHS community services have often been overlooked by investments in technology as they’re less visible. The NHS long term plan aims to move more clinical care out of bricks and mortar and into the community, but the supporting technology hasn’t been there, until now.

 

 

Rob and Roisin talk about how Malinko’s clinical e-scheduling software is helping NHS organisations build back better, driving efficiencies in community services that have a knock on effect across all healthcare services. With Malinko, community teams are able to become more agile, providing safe, efficient care where patients want to be – at home.

 

 

Roisin, who was formerly a speech and language therapist, talks about the importance of having the clinician’s voice at the heart of product developments and how she loves translating requirements into improvements that transform the daily working lives of health and social care professionals.

 

 

The team are proud that Malinko’s empirical data set (available via free to use APIs) is helping community services evidence capacity AND demand, which supports funding conversations around workforce planning – whether that’s skill mix, recruitment or service redesign.

 

 

There is also some big news from NHS Wales who are leading the way in the UK with ambitions to create a national data set for district nurses..and beyond.
